Dua Lipa, an English singer-songwriter was born in London, on 22 August 1995. After a stint as a model and actress, she was signed to Warner Bros Records. She dropped her self-titled debut album in 2017. It climbed to the third spot in the U.K. Chart for Albums. The album released eight singles and included Be the only I.D.G.A.F. as well as New Rules (UK number one). It also peaked to number 6 on the charts in the United States. Lipa has won Brit Awards for 2018 for two categories: British Female Artist and British Breakthrough Act. Furthermore, the platinum album has been praised throughout the world. Dua Lipa was born August 22, 1995, in London with Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. The maternal grandparents of her are Bosnian. Her ancestors are also identified back to the Kosovo city of Peja. Lipa's grandfathers are both historians. She is the sister of Rina Lipa and an older brother called Gjin. Lipa was musically influenced by her father who was the lead singer and guitarist of Oda, the Kosovan rock band Oda. At home, her father played music of David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics The Police Stereophonics. Lipa started to sing when she was only 5 years old. The Sylvia Young Theater School was where she started singing at the age of nine. Lipa sang Beautiful by Christina Aguilera as well as If Ain't Got You By Alicia Keys. The year 2014 was the year that Lipa has signed a deal in partnership with Warner Bros. Records. New Love, Lipa's debut single, was released in August 2015.
